Safe Guilford is the injury prevention program for the Level II Trauma Center at Moses Cone Hospital and is committed to protecting the residents of Guilford County by strategically addressing the primary causes of trauma and injury. Our mission is to build a safer, healthier community by reducing the incidence of traumatic injuries and promoting well-being for all residents. We achieve our mission through data-driven interventions and comprehensive community education initiatives. In partnership with local organizations, we strive to reduce traumatic injuries, enhance public safety, and build a healthier, more resilient community where every resident can thrive.
What We Do
Current initiatives address:

Bleeding Control: Providing Stop the Bleed certification for lay persons to initiate life-saving methods to prevent blood loss from traumatic injury

Falls Prevention: Promoting falls prevention strategies and providing educational workshops for older adults and caregivers
