MPH Partnership

Cone Health is proud to offer our resident physicians the opportunity to earn a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in collaboration with Wingate University’s Department of Public Health. This innovative program leverages your prior education to reduce the 42-credit hour requirement for the degree by up to 9 credit hours.  This effectively reduces the required coursework, as well as reducing the overall cost and length of the program.

The Master of Public Health (MPH) program at Wingate University prepares students to become practice-ready public health professionals through flexible online learning, applied experiences, and community-engaged education. Grounded in epidemiology, prevention, and health equity, the program emphasizes real-world skill development through partnerships with healthcare systems, health departments, and community organizations. Students benefit from small class sizes, individualized faculty mentorship, and interdisciplinary collaboration within Wingate’s health sciences environment. Flexible online course delivery options are designed to support both working professionals and full-time students. Participants have up to five years after starting the program to finish the degree.
