I’m Lashonda, a certified surgical technologist at Cone Health. My path to this role wasn’t traditional—I was still in school when I got accepted into the surgical tech program. Cone Health supported me throughout, allowing me the flexibility to balance my studies and transition seamlessly into my current position.

The opportunity to make a tangible difference in people’s lives is what drew me to surgical technology. Every day, I step into the operating room knowing that I’m part of a team that helps patients on their journey to recovery. It’s a privilege to contribute to their well-being, even behind the scenes.
