I had a surgery back in May 2022 that required more recovery time than I initially expected. From the moment things changed, my Cone Health colleagues immediately stepped in to make sure I felt supported and cared for during the healing process. When I developed an infection from the surgery that required hospitalization, the response from my spiritual care team was nothing short of amazing. They went above and beyond to be there for me, offering their assistance in any way. My supervisor even took the time out of her weekend to visit me in the hospital.

This level of care exemplifies the values we embody at Cone Health — love, kindness and a strong sense of community centered around those who need us the most. Becoming a patient was a difficult experience, but it served as a reminder of the exceptional care provided by our spiritual care team at Cone Health. I am immensely grateful to be part of a team that sees me not just as an employee, but as a human being.
