I can say from personal experience that when it comes to caring, Cone Health goes above and beyond. My son has cerebral palsy, and all he ever wanted was a bicycle. Unfortunately, it wouldn’t come cheap — we were looking at a cost of $2,000 or $3,000.

I was worried I wouldn’t be able to afford it, but then, something incredible happened. The Cone Health community stepped in. One of my coworkers in radiology went to another coworker and together they raised all the money for my son’s bike without my knowledge. When they surprised us with the bike, my son was ecstatic and I was moved to tears. It showed me that Cone Health is more than just a healthcare organization. We’re a family and we’re always there to support each other through difficult times.
