Safety On the Go

Safe Kids Guilford County works with local schools to host International Walk to School Day and International Bike to School Day events. These events aim to raise awareness about walking and bicycling safety by distributing informational materials and retro-reflective items, teaching kids about walking and bicycling safety and promoting safe routes to school. Contact us if your school would like to participate in these fun and engaging events.

Safe Kids Guilford County also has a bike rodeo trailer available for organizations to borrow. A bike rodeo is a skills course that helps kids improve their bike safety skills as they learn their hand signals and how to negotiate figure 8s and cone weaves. Kids also learn how to fit a helmet and why it is important to wear one every time they participate in wheeled sports.
