Patient Information

This study is a multicenter, randomized, double-blind , placebo-controlled trial to evaluate the effect of in-hospital initiation of Dapagloflozin on clinical outcomes in patients with heart failure who have been stabilized during hospitalization for acute heart failure. These agents (SLGT2) have been shown to reduced the risk of hospitalization for heart failure in patients with type 2 diabetes and either stablished atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease or multiple cardiac risk factors. This will assess the safety of in hospital initiation In patients with reduced heart muscle function.
